So, is there any way to know whether the problem is something other than the wireless card going bad? I don’t want to get a new wireless card and have it not work because the problem is actually elsewhere. Dell Driver and Download Check consistently claims there are newer Driver to be installed. I’m trying to decide whether to buy another wireless card and hope it works or to get a USB WiFi adapter instead. Thank you for the excellent link to the instructions!

Then it told me that a network adapter wireless card was not installed. Found out about Quickset, installed.

If you want wireless, install the right wireless driver. The WiFi on my Latitude D started acting up a few days dell latitude d510 wireless, and now it doesn’t work at all. I checked device manager and I have and found 5 devices without drivers installed.

I swapped out the wireless card from an old D that had a fried motherboard, and it still said no adapter was installed. Seems like a driver problem or a MAC address problem.

Latitude D wireless problems. Do you know for sure that laritude card is what Dell shipped, and not something someone else added?
